Amped-Up Kart Racing – 2014-2015


I’ve only been to a couple of Kart races but I’m here to tell you that those little hummers are COOL!  They are a lot faster than I expected and a lot of fun to watch.

I’ve been to a lot of races at a lot of tracks over the years, and one thing I’ve noticed is that regardless of the venue, regardless of the class, regardless of the age, regardless of how much money has been invested, the competitors take things very seriously.  To them it’s as serious as any pro racing category.  Maybe that’s part of what I enjoy so much about racing.


Amped-Up Kart Racing – November 14, 2015

A fabulous fall day today.  Temperatures in the low 60’s and not a cloud in the sky.  A perfect day to watch karts run around the track.

As previously, I can’t tell one division from another but at least this time I shot the scoreboard between each class so I could tell where they changed.

I think I got a photograph of each kart in the classes I stayed for, but I didn’t stay for the entire race.  This is apparently a rather rough sport.  The ambulance was coming back to the track when I came in, and there was one accident resulting in another ambulance coming and taking someoue out.  The another wreck caused a driver to be laying against the wall and the ambulance headed his way I decided to hit the road myself.

     
 
       
   
     
 
   

Amped-Up Kart Racing – March 21, 2015

Sorry, but I can’t tell one class from another.  Well, not quite true.  I can tell the small kids from the adults but that’s about it.  Because of that, and the fact that I was using two cameras, the photos aren’t in any logical order.

Also, if any of the owners or drivers want a high-res copy of their photo all they need to do is Let Me Know.  The photos on this page are low-resolution web images and I will be glad to provide high-resolution copies of the photographs at no charge.  One of the advantages of not being a “Professional” photographer is that I don’t care whether I get paid for shooting or not ;)  I’m just out there having fun like everyone else!
